The scale of the index is 0 to 10, where 0 means that the note is perceived as very damaged and 10 means that the note is perceived as new. The annual averages are obtained from the quarterly values published on Statistics >Economic Information System (SIE) >Banknotes and coins >Indicators of public perception of banknotes >Quarterly survey. 2/ From the fourth quarter of 2019, the index "Percentage of people who review the authenticity of their banknotes" replaces "Percentage of people mentioning that they check their banknotes", which will not longer be updated. 3/ From the fourth quarter of 2019, the index "Percentage of people who did not receive their complete change in the last purchase" replaces "Percentage of people that when making a purchase, the commercial establishment did not have currency change", which will not longer be updated.
