The front and back of all banknotes have very small texts which usually require of a magnifying glass to be read.

These texts appear repeatedly in the front and back of the 20-peso banknote with the legend "20PESOS"; in the 50-peso banknotes with the legend "50PESOS", in the front of the new design of the 50-peso banknote appear repeatedly the legends "BANCO DE MEXICO 50PESOS", "CINCUENTA PESOS", and "50" while in its back the legends are "50PESOS" and "50". In the front and back of the 100-, 200-, 500-, and 1000 peso banknotes, appears repeatedly the legend "100PESOS", "200 PESOS", "500 PESOS", and "1000 PESOS", respectively.

The commemorative 100-peso banknote also has a microprinting text with the legend "Sufragio efectivo y no reelección". Microprinting text is also on the commemorative 200-peso banknote with the legends "200PESOS" and "2010".

Additionally, there is a diminishing microprinting text on the front of the banknotes, which gradually decrease in size. The first line of the paragraph is printed in bigger letters, which diminish gradually in size from one paragraph line to the other.
