At the center, in perspective, the figure of the Winged Victory sculpture that is on the top of the Columna de la Independencia (Independence Column), a monument built to commemorate the Centenary of the Independence war and which is located in one of the most important avenues of Mexico City. The obverse side shows the National Shield, surrounded by the leyend “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” (United Mexican States) and on the edge the words: “Independencia y Libertad” (Independence and Freedom).
