Derivatives and Securities Exchanges

 

Securities and derivatives exchanges are physical or virtual spaces with the infrastructure to allow those that use them to trade securities or financial derivatives instruments.

The Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV): Provides the infrastructure for securities operations in Mexico. Its purpose is to facilitate securities transactions and procure the market’s development. The exchange, Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, S.A. de C.V., is a private institution that operates through a concession granted by the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with the Securities Market Law (LMV).

The is the exchange for derivatives. It is a self-regulated entity that provides the infrastructure through which futures and options contracts are made for futures and options contracts for the following assets: dollars, euros, bonds, shares, indexes, and interest rates.
