| Savings and loan institutions |
Savings and loan institutions facilitate access to credit for their members and promote public saving and lending, grant financing for small and medium-sized business, and, in general, foster economic and social improvement, as well as the well-being of their members and the communities in which they operate.
Savings and loan institutions are public companies or cooperatives governed by the Savings and Loan Law. They are supervised and regulated by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) , which issues general rules guiding their operations according to Articles 19, 65 bis and 101 bis of the Savings and Loan Law. |
