How can I access the EconLab data?

Access to information in the EconLab is granted exclusively for research purposes. Consequently, all accesses will stem from a research project. The process for a project administered by the Econlab, from the initial access to the data to the publication of results, is outlined below:

Have a research project proposal that can be developed using EconLab data and that includes a collaborating researcher from Banco de México in the project.

The Banco de México researcher submits a project registration and data access request to the EconLab with the required documentation, for more details click here.

The EconLab will generate agreements, signed by all project participants and data custodians.

The EconLab manages permissions and access methods, notifying involved parties once access is granted, for more details click here.

Participants can conduct their research for one year and may request extensions as necessary, in one-year increments, while actively working on the project.

Before presenting progress or results at conferences, seminars, documents, websites, etc., participants need to request an extraction of results to the EconLab, a confidentiality revision will be done to prevent the publication or exposure of sensitive data.

Verified output can be used for conferences, papers, seminars, etc.
