Announcement:On January 31 2018, the Press Release of Monetary Aggregates and Financial Activity December 2017 notifies a methodological review on financing statistics. Therefore, from that date and on, data since July 2009 reports repurchase agreement transactions as a collateral, which is its economic definition, instead of the previous one, which implied transfering the ownership of the security. This modification is consistent with the actual accounting criteria of the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) and follows guidelines issued in the Monetary and Financial Statistics Manual and Compilation Guide published on March 2016 by the International Monetary Fund.

The selected table (CF145 Assets and Liabilities of agencies abroad (methodology 97) is affected by this methodological change, so it is no longer updated as of December 2017 and is replaced by the table CF483 Assets and Liabilities of the agencies abroad (methodology 2018.)
