1/ Special Drawing Right (SDR) is an international reserve asset created by the IMF in 1969 as a supplement to existing reserve assets. The currency value of the SDR is determined daily by the IMF by summing the values in U.S. dollars, based on market exchange rates, of a basket of five major currencies: euro, Japanese yen, pound sterling, Chinese yuan and the U.S. dollar. The SDR valuation basket is reviewed every five years.
2/ These exchange rates are published by Banco de México for informational purposes only and do not have official validity. Cross-exchange rates, converted into Mexican pesos using Banco de México FIX exchange rate and market-average U.S. dollar equivalents for the euro, Japanese yen, Pound Sterling and Chinese yuan, and that are published daily by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Whether it is holiday day in the U.S., and the IMF remains closed, the exchange rates are collected directly from Reuters, that is the original source of data used by the aforementioned international financial organization.
