Reverse

In the center field of the coin, the Military Academy’s coat of arms; on the left side, the microtext “POR EL HONOR DE MÉXICO” (FOR THE HONOR OF MEXICO), and, on the right side, the latent image "20". The legend reads "SECRETARÍA DE LA DEFENSA NACIONAL BICENTENARIO DEL HEROICO COLEGIO MILITAR 1823-2023" (THE MEXICAN MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE: BICENTENNIAL OF MEXICO’S MILITARY ACADEMY 1823-2023) in the upper edge. On the right side, the mark of the Mexican mint "M°" appears and, on the exergue, the denomination "$20" with the coats of arms of the Cavalry, Infantry, Artillery, Armored Weapons and Sappers, and the Military Police and Quartermaster services.

  • Content: 65% (sixty five percent) copper; 10% (ten percent) nickel; and 25% (twenty-five percent) zinc.

2. Peripheral ring of the coin: bronze-aluminum alloy.

  • Content: 92% (ninety two percent) copper; 6% (six percent) aluminum; and 2% (two percent) nickel.
  • Weight: 7.16 grams.
