All F-type banknotes have microprinting on the obverse and reverse which is not legible to the naked eye, and a magnifying glass is usually needed to read them.
These texts appear repeatedly on the front and back of the 20-peso banknote with the legend "20PESOS"; on the 50-peso banknotes with the legend "50PESOS", on the front of the 50-peso banknote belonging to the type F1, they appear repeatedly as "BANCO DE MEXICO 50PESOS", "CINCUENTA PESOS", and "50" while on its back, with the legends "50PESOS" and "50". On the front and back of the 100-, 200-, 500-, and 1000-peso banknotes, they appear repeatedly with the legend "100PESOS", "200 PESOS", "500 PESOS", and "1000 PESOS", respectively.
In the case of the 100-peso banknote commemorating the beginning of the Mexican Revolution, the legend “Sufragio efectivo no reelección” (Effective suffrage, no re-election) is in microprinting; in the 100-peso banknote commemorating the Mexico's Constitution of 1917, the microprinting is in the text “BANCO DE MÉXICO 100 PESOS” that appears in both the obverse and the reverse side of the banknote; and in the 200-peso banknote commemorating the beginning of Mexico’s War of Independence, the texts “200PESOS” and “2010” are in microprinting.
Except for the 100-peso banknote commemorating Mexico's Constitution of 1917, all banknotes have in the obverse decreasing microprinting, which consists of letters that decrease gradually in size. The first line has a bigger letter that decreases from one line to another.
