The eagle on the cactus, leading axis of sheet I of the Codex Mendoza, and the legend "CÓDICE MENDOZA" (CODEX MENDOZA) appear in the center field of the coin. The upper part includes the legend "700 AÑOS DE LA FUNDACIÓN DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO-TENOCHTITLAN" (700 YEARS OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE CITY OF MEXICO-TENOCHTITLAN). The denomination "$10" appears on the exergue. To the left of the exergue there is the Mexican Mint mark "M°" and, to the right, the year "2021".
The obverse of the coin bears the National Coat of Arms surrounded by the legend “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” (UNITED MEXICAN STATES).

500th anniversary of historical memory of Mexico-Tenochtitlan
The Templo Mayor appears on the front of the coin, slightly to the right side. The background shows the Plaza de la Constitución with the National Flag, the National Palace, and the Metropolitan Cathedral and Tabernacle. In the upper part of the coin, in two lines, the legend reads "500 AÑOS DE MEMORIA HISTÓRICA / DE MÉXICO-TENOCHTITLAN" (500 YEARS OF HISTORICAL MEMORY / OF MEXICO-TENOCHTITLAN). The denomination "$10" appears on the exergue and, on the left side, the year "1521" together with the Mexican Mint mark "M°". The year "2021" appears to the right of the exergue.

Bicentennial of Mexico's Independence
The portraits (in profile) of Miguel Hidalgo, Jose Maria Morelos and Vicente Guerrero appear in the center field of the coin. To the left, there is the profile of the Winged Victory crowning the Angel of the Column of Independence. In the upper part, surrounding the edge of the coin, the legend reads BICENTENARIO DE LA INDEPENDENCIA NACIONAL" (BICENTENNIAL OF MEXICO’S WAR OF INDEPENDENCE). The denomination "$10" appears on the exergue. The year "1821" appears to the left of the exergue, and the year “2021” and the mark of the Mexican Mint "M°, to the right of the exergue.
