Foreign exchange market

The foreign exchange market (or foreign currency market) includes the international exchange market and the domestic exchange market, and on those markets the legal tenders issued by different countries are bought and sold. The main participants are financial institutions such as commercial banks, brokerage firms, exchange houses and central banks; as well as private corporations and national governments. Foreign exchange markets facilitate both international trade in goods and services, as well as direct and indirect foreign investment, since they allow the transfer of purchasing power from one currency to another. Administrators of financial assets, exporters, importers, domestic and foreign tourists, investors, and Mexican workers abroad, among others, resort to the foreign exchange market.Any questions, comments or suggestions, we would appreciate sending an email to the address DISF@banxico.org.mx
